The seminar is over. You are no longer held captive and constantly watched. You are no longer constantly surrounded by a group of dynamic, passionate leaders. Your peers are no longer limited to the best and brightest this state has to offer. Life does go on.

    What changes after HOBY is more than just your circle of friends, or your interests in issues and careers. After HOBY, something inside of you is different. It's barely perceptible, but we fellow HOBY ambassadors are well aware of what has occurred. The world has expanded. Your potential has just been defined as a new horizon. HOBY kids can do anything.

    I challenge you today to go out of your comfort zone permanently. We forced this to happen for a weekend, now I ask you to do it for a lifetime. The world needs leaders badly, and our generation will not disappoint. It was once said, "Your character is your destiny". Begin forming your destiny today. Change the things you care about in the world. If you care about the environment--rally for your cause. If you care about politics--get involved in campaigns. If you love science or medicine--question and discover as the next generation of intellectuals. If you are an artist--express yourself for the entire world to see.
